6/14/18:
The contractor is diligently working to prepare the concrete surface, from north of 25
th
Street to south of 23
rd
Street, for traffic. They have completed the sawing and sealing of the joints. Currently, they are backfilling with black dirt on the ditch and will be installing gravel on the east side of the pavement, as a safety precaution. They anticipate having all this work done by the end of today (6/14/18) and will swap traffic from the gravel to the concrete. This provides for 2-way traffic, north of 23
rd
Street. The 21
st
Street intersection will remain closed, for the time being.

You know it’s important to make sure that your business can be found easily online, but did you know that your chamber membership is helping you do that?
Your membership comes with a free listing in our online business directory, complete with a link to your company website. That link makes it easy for our website visitors to connect to your business. And because the chamber website is highly visited, your link has even more value.
Because our site gets so much traffic, a direct link to your site from ours tells search engines that your business is relevant and important, which can lead to a boost in your search engine rankings.
But it only works if your link works. Head to the chamber website now to make sure you are linked. And contact us if you need to make a change.

To keep our visitors informed of the various construction projects throughout the summer that will affect travel routes, the CVB partnered with District III Planning and Development, Yankton County and The City of Yankton to create an interactive digital map that can be linked to websites, and will be updated by District III as projects are completed.
District III also created a printable detour map.

Question
:
“What are some ways to improve our marketing efforts?"
Answer
: People love a good story. Craft your own around why you started your business and then tell it through your website, social networking pages and anywhere else you are able. Let your story and personality shine through to build trust and appeal to your target audience.
Engage your target audience by telling them how they will benefit instead of just telling them what you have to offer. Be proud of your product or service, dress it up, and sell the experience, not just the product.
