Your membership investment brings increased visibility for your business and countless opportunities for you to connect with other local business owners and professionals. But did you know that your investment is also helping contribute to the success of our entire community?

When you become a member of the chamber, your investment, combined with that of other chamber members, funds programs and services that provide resources and assistance to new and existing businesses that are ready to grow, create new jobs and invest in our community.

This kind of growth results in more dollars flowing through our local economy in the form of consumer and business-to-business purchases. In other words – more potential customers for your business. A strong local economy means better business for everyone. Your investment in the chamber helps make that happen. It’s your membership…own it!

Get Noticed By Yankton's Visitors!

The Yankton CVB  distributed 2,125 welcome bags in 2017  for conventions, sporting events, reunions, and meetings. It was a big effort but well worth it when you consider the impact that was made.

We already have 6 conventions on our calendar taking place over the next several months , and expect to distribute just as many, if not more, welcome bags in 2018. To add an extra special touch to our welcome bags, we are looking for notepads, pens or other branded trinkets to include in the welcome bags. This is a fantastic way to promote your business and make our visitors feel extra special during their trip to Yankton.

If your business is interested in providing branded promotional items for our welcome bags please reach out to Kasi at 665-3636 at your earliest convenience.  There is no cost to participate in this opportunity and we will take care of stuffing the bags for you.

Question : “ What is the chart of accounts?"

Answer : The chart of accounts is a list of accounts that is used to categorize every financial transaction that your business generates. Your chart of accounts will reflect your entire operation which is why it is considered the backbone of your bookkeeping system. Accounting software usually comes with a preset list of accounts but, as your businesses grows, you will need to modify your list. But only set up accounts that you need and don’t over categorize. Keep them generic. Learn more here!
