"Safe Start Washington Governor Jay Inslee Governor Jay Inslee, in collaboration with the Washington State Department of Health, has established a data-driven approach to reopen Washington and modify physical distancing measures while minimizing the health impacts of COVID-19. This approach reduces the risk of COVID-19 to Washington’s most vulnerable populations and preserves capacity in our health care system, while safely opening up businesses and resuming gatherings, travel, shopping, and recreation. The plan involves assessing COVID-19 activity in the state along with health care system readiness, testing capacity and availability, case and contact investigations, and ability to protect high-risk populations." - Quoted from: https://www.governor.wa.gov/sites/default/files/SafeStartWA_4May20_1pm.pdf

AWB Employment Survey!
AWB Grassroots Alliance Members,

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation is working with  Cicero Group , a third-party researcher, to understand how employers have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and how they are thinking about returning to work – with a particular emphasis on the childcare needs of employees. They have created a short survey and asked AWB to participate.

A similar survey will also be distributed to parents of young children to better understand their needs as employees. The Foundation will share the results of both surveys with the chambers.

Your input is essential to helping all business and civic leaders prepare for returning to work. Please follow the link below to take the survey; it should only take 10-15 minutes to complete. Please reach out to  Cicero  with any specific questions.

FALL FEST 2020 UPDATE...
June 8, 2020 – Covington, WA

Dear Chamber Partners & Community Members:
The Covington Chamber of Commerce actively promotes a strong local community and in doing so we follow safety and health orders by Governor Inslee. Summer and Fall remain uncertain times regarding the reach of the Covid-19 virus and the ability to hold in person gatherings while “Social Distancing”.
Out of an abundance of caution and in effort to best support the success of local business while following State Guidelines in the plan to reopen we have selected to cancel our upcoming event: Fall Festival in September 2020. We will be in touch with those that have pre-registered and we look forward to a time that we can celebrate together again. This decision was not taken lightly and included many factors, but the safety and health of our community was our number one priority.
Currently we are continuing virtually our monthly education/networking luncheons and after hours and we invite you to attend these free opportunities to support your business, learn about resources and continue supporting one another. We will continue to advocate for local business & connect you to available resources and information.
Please stay engaged with us on Social Media via Facebook & Instagram. We will update our website and newsletters as information continues to become available to us. For more information:
