Chamber Advantage

August 21st, 2022

Can you believe this year is already more than half over? We've already had some pretty great events, and have a few more yet to come. If you haven't registered for the Annual Meeting, it is coming up very soon! This year we will be holding the event at one of our very own UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Unity Temple! The Business Spotlight Soiree, presented by Oak Park Bank, will again be at the beautiful Cheney Mansion.

We look forward to seeing y'all at both of these events!

Get to know your Board!

Want to learn more about your Board of Directors?

Each month we will be featuring a different Board Member (or two). These features will tell you who they are, what they do, and some fun facts about them. This month we are featuring two, Rob Guenthner & Sam Yousif, who make up our Advocacy Committee.

Name: Sam Yousif

Place of Business: B-Health

What does he do for fun?

Trying to spend more time with my 3 college aged children and being part of their life as they grow up, travel, trying new restaurants, watching nearly every sport imaginable, cooking, exercise, and good coffee.

What services do you offer?

B-Health is one of the area’s premier one on one private integrated health care practices. Our practice includes 6 skilled orthopedic manual-based Doctor’s of Physical Therapy, a board-certified chiropractor focusing on applied kinesiology and functional neurology, a certified health and nutritional coach all working in union in a one-on-one patient-centered practice.

We treat a full range of orthopedic issues including back, shoulder, feet, knees, neck, Vestibular, TMG, and Sports related injuries. Our practice also includes Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Therapists, Certified Schroth Therapists that specialize in treating Scoliosis, and Therapists who specialize in sports rehabilitation and performance training.

Our integrated treatment process melds evaluation and treatment whereby we combine mechanical mobilization (manual-based physiotherapy), neuromuscular facilitation, and motor movement retraining. This means we help you enhance and use the correct coordination of muscles to maximize strength. This is what we mean by optimizing one’s mechanics for more efficient movement. Our unique method also incorporates the critical component, psychological retraining “brain training” as part of our physical retraining process to achieve the mind-body connection which achieves long term automatic efficiency.

Who is your ideal patient?

Our ideal patient is anybody who is looking to address any pain, injury, or limitations in movement and mobility, or anyone looking to improve their overall health, wellness, or performance.

Name: Rob Guenthner

Place of Business: Kettlestrings Tavern, Kettlestrings Grove, Betty's Pizza & Pasta

What does he do for fun?

My free time is spent enjoying life with my wife, 5 children and friends whether that is watching sports (both youth and professional) and arguing about the relative merits of the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals, dining out at the many wonderful restaurants in Oak Park/River Forest Community or simply enjoying an evening with friends in our backyard.

What services do you offer?

Kettlestrings Group is a provider of hospitality. Through our varied venues, Kettlestrings Tavern, Kettlestrings Grove and Betty's Pizza and Pasta we encourage our guests to slow down and savor what life serves up in the environment where they are most comfortable.

Who is your ideal customer?

Our ideal customers are those who enjoy a good time in a relaxing environment.
