Chamber Announces Melissa Mallinson as Executive Director

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Melissa Mallinson as the Chamber’s next Executive Director.

The Chamber's Board of Directors conducted a competitive search process with a strong pool of candidates. Melissa was selected through a rigorous, multi-phase evaluation, reflecting both the depth of the field and the strength of her leadership and vision.

Melissa brings 25 years of nonprofit management experience, including leadership roles in large-scale membership organizations. She holds an MBA from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as well as a certificate in nonprofit management from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

A familiar and trusted presence in the Chamber community, Melissa has served as Director of Programming and Membership since February 2025. In that role, she demonstrated exceptional program leadership, built strong relationships with members and stakeholders, and developed deep institutional knowledge. Her combination of professional expertise and commitment to the Chamber’s mission positions her well to lead the organization forward.

Melissa will officially step into the Executive Director role on April 20, with continued support from Interim Executive Director Yoo-Jin Hong to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

We couldn’t be more excited about Melissa’s appointment and look forward to advancing the Chamber’s mission and strengthening our local business community under her leadership. Please join us in congratulating Melissa!
