I cannot believe mid-August has arrived. For educators, this time of year is a busy transition. Schools are preparing for students to return back-to-school. The world around us goes through a transition, as well. The days turn colder and shorter. The leaves change color. We say goodbye to our shorts and sandals and pull out the scarves and gloves. Let’s approach the transition to autumn feeling refreshed, ready to connect, ready to tackle challenges, and ready to get back-to-business!

This week we'll be at the Oak Park Arms celebrating 45 years of community, hospitality, and engagement with our senior residents. We'll be taking pictures of the ribbon cutting, and enjoying a great networking opportunity! Come join us to mark the occasion!

Come join your fellow Chamber members for our next Takeout Stakeout, this time at The Daly Bagel! In this event, we convene at a designated restaurant to pick up our takeout lunch choices.

Lunch is a flat $16 including tax and tip.

Thursday Aug 31, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM - BIPOC Affinity Group

It's Summertime and that means live music, cool drinks and the outdoors! BIPOC is heading to Marion Street in Downtown Oak Park this month for Thursday Night Out. We will convene in front of Fleet Feet and pick the best spot to enjoy the evening. Local restaurants are offering meal and drink specials for TNO. Outdoor tables and chairs are provided. Everyone can purchase food and beverages of their choice as we relax and enjoy the live music from local artists.
