Business and community are what the Chamber is all about. Every program and special event is centered around how we can enhance and improve the businesses and people that make up our neighborhood. As spring creeps in, we have the opportunity to come together even more, and we have plenty of opportunities for you to build connections and community throughout Q2. 

As we are preparing for the Community Health & Wellness Fair, we want you to know what you can expect before you go. We’re also preparing for an eventful May and June with the launch of BLEND, our Black and Latine Entrepreneurial Network and Development cohort and Out in the Burbs, our festival celebrating Pride in partnership with DTOP and The Village of Oak Park. There’s so much to expect for the Chamber and we’re excited to experience your presence this Spring and Summer.

The Community Health & Wellness Fair is here and we want you to focus on being present, learning about the many health & wellness resources available to you in our community and enjoying your time connecting with your fellow neighbors. OUT IN THE BURBS COMING UP

June is Pride Month, and there’s no better way to celebrate than at the ever-growing Out in the Burbs festival! This vibrant event is back and bigger than ever — packed with live entertainment, delicious food, and joyful activities for all ages. Join us on Saturday, June 7th as we come together to honor love, identity, and community. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

BLEND IS ON ITS WAY

We’re gearing up to launch the Black and Latine Entrepreneurial Networking and Development program. B.L.E.N.D allows us to support the Village’s priority of providing equitable opportunities to our community. Through this two-track cohort program, black and latine emerging and established businesses will be immersed in a learning and networking environment.

VILLAGE OF OAK PARK: Black Business Fair

At the Chamber, we value creating and supporting opportunities for all of our community and Chamber members to thrive. That’s why we’re so excited to share the upcoming Black Business Fair as a part of the Village’s Juneteenth cookout celebration on June 14th from 11 am until 3 pm. This is an amazing opportunity for black business owners to showcase their business amongst a vibrant event, including a DJ, kids’ area, and approximately 350 attendees. RIVER FOREST MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the River Forest Memorial Day Parade, and we’re honoring the milestone with the launch of the River Forest Business Bash — a vibrant, community-focused street fair celebrating River Forest and veteran-owned businesses.

Happening immediately after the parade, the Business Bash offers the perfect opportunity to keep the community energy going, spotlight local businesses, and create a new tradition rooted in local pride.
