The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce advocated on behalf of its members
and local restaurants for the State of Michigan to defer food service license fees during the pandemic. We are encouraged by the recent executive order dealing with restaurants and food licensing by Governor Whitmer.  The executive order temporarily suspends license expirations and fees and shows a sensitivity
to the struggles restaurants are currently facing. 

The Chamber sent a letter to the Director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on April 6, 2020.
