Columbus COVID-19 Community Task Force
Urges Action
In recent weeks, data has indicated that the spread of the COVID-19 virus, specifically the Delta variant, has increased significantly in our community. Positive cases and hospitalizations have continued to trend upward. As a result, the CDC has designated Bartholomew County as a Significant Spread area. 

In response, the Columbus Chamber urges all visitors to our facility to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.

We will continue to take the virus seriously and follow the guidelines laid out by the CDC and State of Indiana. The most important step community members can take right now is to get vaccinated, if you haven’t already.

The School Foundation has been serving teachers, students and staff of BCSC for over 65 years.  BCSF partners with individuals, businesses, and charitable foundations to help fund classroom projects and educational experiences. The South Central Indiana Talent Region is creating a regional development plan that targets critical community and economic development priorities in Bartholomew County, Jackson County, Jennings County, and Town of Edinburgh.

Up to $50 million in funding for these bold, coordinated initiatives is being sought through the Indiana Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI), a program dedicated to investing in the growth and prosperity of Hoosier communities.  

By taking this brief survey, your ideas will help shape a plan to request READI grant funds from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
