Meet Members of Leadership Greater Enid - Class 30
Rachel Snider
Hometown: Jay, OK
Family: My husband Ryan and I have been married for 13 years. We have three children. Our daughter Logan is 11, elder son Bronc is 9, and our youngest son Paycus is 7. We also have a dog named Ruby.
Occupation/Profession:
As the Administrative Intern at Autry I rotate through a myriad of campus departments assisting in the strategic implementation of the goals of Autry Technology Center. Just a few of the programs include workforce training, business development, community outreach and support.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
“Never stop learning.” And, while I didn’t appreciate it at the time I received it, I’ve come to recognize the adage as a theme of my life. Everyday, at every turn, I see that adventure awaits! “Continuing to Learn”, and apply the advice given me has made all the difference.
What qualities do you look for in a leader?:
A dedication to the success of others and the organization are vital. Selflessness, establishing an atmosphere of inclusion and valuing relationships are qualities that transcend all good leaders.
If you could only eat one item of food for the rest of your life, what would you eat?
Shrimp salsa! A combination of seafood, vegetables, avocado and lime juice scooped up on a crispy, salty tortilla chip!
Favorite thing about Enid?
I love the growth we have seen over the past six years. Enid continues to have more and more to offer all ages in the community. I also love the sense of community that exists in the people of Enid, as well as the pride and love they share in the place they call home.
Jason Twyman
Hometown: Quincy, IL
Family: Wife Shawna Twyman, 2 daughters, 1 granddaughter, 2 dogs
Occupation/Profession: Estimate and manage commercial plumbing and HVAC projects, Estimater/construction manager at Dense Mechanical
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
The closer my wife and I are to God, the closer we will be to each other.
What qualities do you look for in a leader?
A willingness to own your mistakes and get dirty all while sharing the spoils of success.
If you could only eat one item of food for the rest of your life, what would you eat?
Crab Benedict
Favorite thing about Enid?
It’s a small town full of friendly God fearing folks (compared to Seattle).
Lincoln White
Hometown: Jupiter, Fl
Family: I have been engaged to Jaznee Kennemer for 3 years now thanks to a little surprise and Covid. The little surprise is now a very fun, energetic, and busy two year old named, Landree Jane. She definitely keeps us on our toes. We have two dogs, B a boxer and Andi a Great Dane, who are about 7 years old. Somehow we were convinced by Landree to get her a cat; so we adopted a cat who’s name is Asher. He is the protector of the house.
Occupation/Profession: I moved to Enid and became the Buckle store manager in 2012. Hiring, training, and developing a sales team over the years is just one of the many things I enjoy about working at the Buckle. I’ve developed so many relationships not only with teammates and their families, but other managers and so many guests over the years. Working for Buckle has given me the opportunity to do many things such as, open new store locations, overlap with other leaders, help lead the company as a Department Manager, along with training videos. Over the last couple years I’ve been given the opportunity to become an Area Sales Leader, my new roll allows me to work with several other stores as a business partner. Overseeing other managers and their stores has been a blessing as it allowed me to continue to work on my leadership skills while helping others develop in the area as well. With this new role I’ve had the opportunity to travel a bit more, which allows others in my home store to take more ownership in the business.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
The best advice I’ve been given was from my dad, “grasp the opportunity in the lifetime of the opportunity.“
What qualities do you look for in a leader?
Leaders come in many different forms, and each of their styles will be unique depending on who they are leading. The qualities I look for is someone who is willing to see others for what they do, not who they are. People who are willing to work a little more to accomplish the tasks, but also someone who is able to lift others when that time is needed. Now a days it seems less likely to truly find someone who is versed in these three areas so that’s another reason I’m always working on being a better leader.
If you could only eat one item of food for the rest of your life, what would you eat?
One item of food for the rest of my life, Chick Fila doesn’t count does it? Steak is always a good choice, medium please.
Favorite thing about Enid?
Over the years here this town has grown on me daily. Not only did I start my career here in Enid but, I also have met so many people from all walks of life, some not from here and many born and raised. All of those encounters have had some sort of impact in my life that has shaped me into the person I am today. The city has plenty of stories, lots of character and of course good people. All of those things make a town what it is, in the world we are living in today that is much needed. Besides my career, friends and mentors that I’ve meet here I’ve also met my fiancé, Jaznee. No one really knows what’s planned for them or what city they will end up in or how long they’ll be away from their home town. The one thing they can control is what they do with that adventure, the people they meet and the difference they make in the lives of others.
