During a lifetime of just 23 years, Buddy Holly of Lubbock set rock ’n roll on a trajectory that influenced the Beatles, the Stones, Dylan, Clapton and Elton. He was among the first honorees inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is No. 13 all-time on

100 greatest artists. After having opened three times for Elvis, Holly moved from country to rockabilly.

Sept. 7-15. It’s your chance to don some black-rimmed glasses, dance in the aisle and celebrate what’s called the “World’s Most Successful Rock Musical.” The last half of the show re-enacts his last night on earth 60 years ago – the concert at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, complete with the moves of Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. Casa’s Lindsey Rush-ened over two tickets to opening night Sept. 7.
