FEMA Help for Winter Storm Victims

If you sustained damage from snow and ice during the winter storms and you have insurance, contact your insurance company and then FEMA. Your insurance claim information is needed to determine eligibility for federal assistance.

Updates from the City of Liberty
The City of Liberty is holding a Community Shred & Recycling Event that will allow citizens to safely dispose of sensitive documents (tax returns, bank statements, etc.) and unwanted electronics (laptops, desktops, cell phones, etc.). All documents will be shredded on site by Texas Security Shredding Company. Appliances and TVs will not be accepted.

The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 6th at Liberty City Hall (1829 Sam Houston). It is FREE and open to the public.


The Liberty Municipal Golf Course is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday starting at 7 a.m. Players can now book tee times online at

Dawn Primeaux currently serves as Vice President and Regional Commercial Lender for Allegiance Bank servicing the Dayton, Liberty and Anahuac communities.

Dawn recently moved to Texas from Louisiana, and brings over 13 years of banking experience from JD Bank out of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

As a graduate of McNeese State University, Dawn has been actively involved in her community. She most recently served as Vice President of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Youth Mentoring Program. She is also President of the Literacy Council, and has been a member of the SWLA Greater Lake Charles Rotary, Westlake Kiwanis, and served on the boards for both Habitat for Humanity and BAAK for Battered and Abused Kids.

The Chamber's annual Administrative Professionals Luncheon is planned for 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21. Location to be announced. This will be a drive-thru event with dessert and gifts.   • Coffee with the Mayor. Held the third Thursday of each month (except for holidays or conflicting events). Citizens of Liberty are invited to have coffee with Mayor Carl Pickett and City Manager Tom Warner in the council chambers of City Hall. Save money on payment processing and contribute funds to the Chamber with Clearent Payment Solutions.

Clearent Payment Solutions is a credit card processing company and a member of our chamber.
When a business, referred by a Chamber member, converts their payment processing to Clearent, the company (Clearent) will pay a percentage of that businesses' processing cost to the Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber. The business will be saving money and at the same time, the Chamber will be adding revenue. This is at no cost to the business owner (and a lower percentage rate).

To make a referral:
Send e-mail to with the business and contact's name, phone number or e-mail. In the subject line, state "LDACC referral". That is all that is needed. Once approved, the Chamber begins increasing revenue. In addition, Clearent will provide a free terminal to each referral. They will get next day funding and an online tracking portal.
