Young Professionals events provide access to professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities, focused on, but not exclusive to, professionals under 35 years of age. 

This month, the Young Professionals are hosting Quench Quest to explore the River District, while networking with one another. Please share this with your employees, and encourage your young professionals to participate and expand their network!

BUSINESS@BREAKFAST HIGHLIGHTS SCHOOL SYSTEMS

At this month's Business@Breakfast,
Dr. Stanley Jones, Danville Public Schools, and Dr. Mark Jones, Pittsylvania County Schools, will participate in a discussion moderated by Ann Vandervliet Stratton, executive director of Smart Beginnings Danville Pittsylvania. The superintendents will highlight exciting initiatives and new offerings in their systems, discuss the role of schools in economic development and share the opportunities and challenges associated with school finance in the context of state funding.
INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR INTERNATIONAL TRIP
When: Wednesday, March 6 | 12 p.m.

The Chamber is hosting an informational meeting for their trip to Prague and Vienna with an optional post tour to Budapest, which will depart on October 9, 2019, for 8–10 days (depending on whether you sign up for the post tour). A representative from CI Destinations will be available at the meeting to answer any questions you may have about the trip.

Cost for the trip is $2,899 if you register by March 31, 2019. The post tour to Budapest is an additional $599.

RIPPE'S TRAVELS THE WORLD TO CURATE THE BEST FASHION AND VALUE
Ben Rippe, President of Rippe’s Apparel, Furs, Shoes, Lifestyle , is attending Hong Kong Fur and Fashion Fair. Rippe works with the world’s top fur and coat manufacturers at the trade show, specifying style, materials and fit patterns. This enables Rippe’s to avoid middle transition costs and make certain styles that are exclusive to Rippe's. At the trade show, Rippe's is exposed to the the newest fashion trends and technology; and in addition, they avoid lease costs or consignment fees and commissions to other stores . Meanwhile, Sam Rippe, General Manager, is attending The Southeast Shoe Show in Marietta, GA, curating next fall's line-up of shoes, boots and handbags.

Rippe's is located in Danville's River District at 559 and 563 Main Street.
