NEW ADDRESS FOR YOUR CHAMBER
Please note that as of September 2020 your Chamber has relocated to the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research [IALR]. IALR's campus is an ideal place for the Chamber to continue to enhance and energize the region with an innovative, profitable business community. If the pandemic has shown us anything about the future of work, it’s that engagement, not location, is what matters. The business of the Chamber has not changed—we are here to promote and advocate for all businesses in our region. And we are proud to engage our members virtually and at their places of business.

Our new address is:

150 Slayton Avenue
Danville, VA 24540
SAVE THE DATE: ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
When: Wednesday, February 10 | 8:30-9:30 a.m.

We invite you to join us for our Annual Membership Meeting. During this virtual event, we will highlight how your Chamber has supported you and our region's business community through a global pandemic. We will also announce our plan for 2021 and how we can energize the region with an innovative, profitable business community.

  • Meet your 2021 Board of Directors and Officers
  • Recognize outgoing Chair and Board members
  • Learn about the Chamber's top three priorities for 2021
  • Hear from Sheree Anne Kelly | CEO, Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives
FEATURED SPEAKER: SHEREE ANNE KELLY
Sheree Anne is the head of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives [ACCE] representing more than 10,000 industry professionals. ACCE serves the community via professional development, innovative problem solving, best practices, and industry thought leadership.

Sheree Anne has led ACCE through its Horizon Initiative, which explores trends that will shape the next decade for chambers across the nation. Current industry leadership roles include serving on the executive committee of the World Chambers Federation and as a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Committee of 100. She’s also a board member of the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems and immediate past chair of the Bucknell Institute for Public Policy.

Save the date to hear Sheree Anne discuss what lies ahead for chambers, and the essential components for how they can adapt and evolve through a global pandemic, the discordant political climate and economic downturn.
CORONAVIRUS VACCINE COMMUNITY QUESTIONS
Your Chamber remains focused on supporting our business community through the COVID-19 pandemic and our continued economic recovery. As the COVID-19 vaccines become available, we acknowledge that there are many valid questions being discussed in throughout the region, and we want to make sure that all of your concerns are heard.

Let us know your thoughts and questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine in this brief [1-2 minute] survey. In the coming weeks, we will work with regional partners to provide you with responses from trusted local medical professionals. It is important that everyone can make well-informed decisions about their own health,
so your input is greatly appreciated.
LEGISLATIVE CORNER
The 2021 Virginia General Assembly Legislative Session began on January 13. Your Chamber will continue to advocate for the region's business community during this session, recognizing the challenges of the alternative format and timing. Our 2021 legislative priorities can be found below. Please contact Alexis Ehrhardt with any questions.
