Meet the Towns:

A Successful Event Bringing Caroline County Together

The Caroline County Chamber of Commerce is

thrilled to report the success of our “Meet the Towns"

event! Nearly 70 attendees gathered on

Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 9:00 AM to

11:00 AM at Greater Impact in Greensboro, MD,

enjoying a unique opportunity to connect and

engage with our community.

The event saw representatives from the governor's

office, the Maryland state comptroller’s office,

Senator Mautz, and Caroline County Commissioner Breeding, alongside leaders from our vibrant towns of Denton, Preston, Federalsburg, Greensboro,

Ridgely, and Goldsboro. Each town’s leadership

shared valuable insights about their roles,

upcoming events, and other significant information,

in a dynamic round-robin format.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who

attended and contributed to making this event a

great success. The shared insights and open communication have

indeed strengthened our community bonds.

Special thanks to Greater Impact for letting us use their venue, BBSI and Caroline Economic Development Tourism office for sponsoring our coffee and treats from Craft Bakery.

Stay tuned for more Chamber events that will bring Caroline County closer together.

Your participation and support are what make these

initiatives truly impactful.

Tahya Jones takes the Crown at Mactoberfest 2024

The 6th Annual Mactoberfest was a

roaring success, bringing together six

talented chefs, 40 vibrant vendors, Big

Truck Brewery, and an array of wonderful sponsors. Amidst the sea of delectable

mac and cheese creations, it was Chef

Tahya Jones who emerged victorious,

earning the Big Cheese title for the second year in a row!

Hosted at the Chesapeake Culinary Center, the event saw a fantastic turnout, with attendees tasting and voting on their favorite cheesy dishes.

Chef Jones’s unique blend of flavors and culinary skill won over the crowd, securing her the top spot.

A special thanks to our incredible

sponsors, including Mid-Atlantic Organic Resource Company,

Fred Frederick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Brenton Realty Group, Burke & Herbert Bank, Chesapeake College, M&T Bank,

Walmart Denton SuperCenter, Chesapeake Culinary Center and Shore United Bank. The sponsors and community support make this event

possible year after year!

Here's to another year of cheesy

delights and culinary excellence!

Mark your calendars, Mactoberfest is already scheduled for 10-25-25!
