Connecting Business. Creating Opportunity.
The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce continues to work with our members and partners to try to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on our business community.

We recognize that this situation has put unprecedented stress on families, friends, and colleagues as the world struggles to contain this outbreak.

The practice of social distancing and hand-washing remain the most effective means to flatten the curve of the spread. For the safety of everyone, we have postponed all events and meetings for the foreseeable future until it becomes safe to do so again.

Our office is closed to the public but our team is still working remotely to provide you with updates and information pertaining to your business including this Chamber Chatter newsletter on Tuesdays and our Connections newsletter which will now be issued every Thursday to give our members another avenue to share their information with the community. Our social media pages are also open for ALL businesses to reach out regardless of Chamber membership.

We are working with our partners at the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and Canadian Chamber of Commerce as well as the City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie and MD of Greenview to ensure the voice of business is heard at all levels of government and we appreciate the efforts made.

We have been working to find ways to help give a boost to businesses during the current situation and you can watch for initiatives coming soon.

If you haven't noticed, we have been transitioning to a new website. Same address, new look and hopefully easier to navigate. It's been a struggle with the changeover due to technical issues but we believe most of the bugs have been worked out. Thank you for your patience with that.

Please consider the resources listed below, and we ask you to consider completing the Economic Alberta Business Survey for Impacts of COVID-19 to give us all a clearer picture of what is needed to try to help companies attempt to weather this storm.

Please reach out to us at any time, let us know what we can do to assist you as we work to support each other in these challenging and uncertain times. Above all, stay well and as always we appreciate and value your support.

Alberta Business Survey- COVID-19 Impacts

In consultation with our various economic development partners, Economic Developers Alberta (EDA) has agreed to develop and this online survey for distribution to the broader Alberta business community.

This short survey will enable us to gather consistent, high level data on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to Alberta businesses.

Our primary goal is to identify immediate and emerging business needs and trends, in order to ensure all of our economic development partners, and key stakeholders are able to provide the best response possible.

One of EDA's priorities is to ensure Alberta's economic development professionals have the most relevant tools and resources for their local businesses in order to accelerate long-term business and economic recovery efforts.

Thank you so much for taking the time to fill out this short survey. Please feel free to forward the link to others as well. We want to hear from as many Alberta businesses as possible.

Note: We will not be sharing specific information on your business, only summary data to identify top needs and trends.
