THE ROAD AHEAD: Jacksonville’s Future — Growth, Development & Opportunity!

The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce welcomed a large group to its Business @ Lunch event on October 27th at First Methodist Church, featuring guest speaker Shane Pace, President of the Jacksonville Economic Development Corporation (JEDCO).

Shane shared exciting updates on Jacksonville’s growth and the impact of the half-cent sales tax that helps fund local economic development. The numbers tell a powerful story!

$76 million in new tax base

129 new jobs on payroll today

$6.7 million in new annual paychecks

$3.60 in private investment for every $1 of JEDCO downtown grants

JEDCO has awarded 16 downtown redevelopment grants, including one to the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. Fourteen projects are complete, with two more underway!
