Chamber Comments
July 14, 2015

Greetings,

You may or may not have noticed that you did not receive the "Chamber Comments" last week.

Due to the fact that Kay was attending a conference in Montana and Scott was attending to the

many concerns of the community following the death of Hunter Boutain and the 2018 Complete Streets meeting with MnDOT Commissioner of Transportation Charles Zelle, time did not allow for

our on-line newsletter to be published.  We apologize for any inconvenience and any missed

announcements.

The Chamber staff and board of directors, want to extend our sincere sympathy to the Boutain family on the death of Hunter.  Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they go through this difficult time.

We are also aware that this has been hard on our community, resorts, and businesses as well.  This is a very unfortunate and rare event.  We have a beautiful lake and many things to do in Glenwood and Pope County.

If you want to learn more about Primary Amebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM) and some ways to be safer while partaking in water activities in all Lakes and rivers in Minnesota and the United States, click on this link. Pope County - Horizon Public Health.

Have a good week and remember that  the Glenwood area is a great place to work, shop, live and play.

Have a good week.

Congratulations to our July Chamber Member of the Month:

Minnewaska Showstoppers
