Virtual Program: Secret Chicago: The Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure on Wed. Jul. 21 at 7pm. A grave in a junkyard? A swimming pool under the Loop? How many of these bizarre sites have you uncovered in Chicago? Spend an evening with author Jessica Mlinaric as she takes us on an interactive scavenger hunt of the hidden gems and twisted histories of the Windy City, as chronicled in her book Secret Chicago: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful and Obscure.
Virtual Graphic Novel Book Club (for Kids & Families) on Fri. Jul 30 at 11:30 am. Come and talk about some awesome graphic novels in the Virtual Graphic Novel Book Club! This session, we will be reading Cucumber Quest by Gigi D.G.. Please read the book before the meeting. Copies will be available at the Circulation Desk. Please have a pencil and paper near you for the Zoom meeting for some fun activities.

Donating raffle baskets!
Baskets or items are needed for the raffles. You may wrap your own basket or drop off the items and staff will craft the basket. We just need the names of individuals or businesses who donated towards the basket, a list of items inside and an approximate value!

Jon Osborne, owner of Image360 in Mokena, was recently presented with the annual Single-Unit Sales Award by the Alliance Franchise Brands Network.
Presented during the network’s 2021 virtual convention, the sales award is given annually to the top 15 businesses with the highest sales volume for a single center in Alliance Franchise Brands’ international network of signage and graphics providers.

Senior Picnic - Stars & Stripes, Wednesday, July 28 from Noon- 2pm at the Founders Community Center. 55 years & older and the fee is $5. Sponsored by: Clarendale of Mokena. Put on your red, white and blue and keep the patriotic celebration going! Join your friends for an afternoon filled with food, desserts, raffles, bingo and fun!!! In addition, we will have our Senior Country Line Dance instructor onsite to teach you some dance moves. Registration Deadline is July 23.
The Short Run on a Long Day 5k Run/Walk, Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 7pm @ Main Park, 400 W. Nebraska, Frankfort. Registration Fee: $21 Pre-Registration (by 4 pm 7/25/21) (includes T-Shirt) and $30 (after 4 pm on 7/25/21). Register On-Line: www.runsignup.com (fee) OR www.frankfortparks.org (no fees). Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Short Run on a Long Day 5k Run/Walk. The Frankfort Park District is in need of volunteers for this year's 5k event.
