Looking for a great way to showcase your business or organization to more than 35,000 people from near and far?

Frankfort Chamber members receive a complimentary spot in this wildly popular parade that will step off at 1pm, Sunday, Sept. 4, and wind through the historic downtown neighborhood. The theme for this year's parade is "Fall Fest-Through The Decades"

There is still time to get your information and/or promotional items in our New Resident Gift Bags, which are given out to new residents when they go to Village Hall to sign up for their water account.

This is a great opportunity to get your information in front of new residents who are looking to find a variety of local retailers, professional services and community organizations to meet their needs.

In turn, new residents are asked to fill out a brief information sheet so we can capture their data. If they opt-in to receive future communications, we will provide their name and mailing address to our participating Chamber members so they can do their own follow-up.

Cost for June-December 2022 is $25 for non-profit organizations and $100 for all other businesses.

Illinois Secure Choice Retirement Savings Program

The Illinois Secure Choice Savings Program (Secure Choice) provides workers with an easy way to save their own money for retirement and is simple and straightforward for employers to facilitate.

Illinois businesses with at least 5 employees, that have been in business for two or more years, and who do not currently provide a retirement plan must either begin offering a qualified plan, or automatically enroll their employees into Secure Choice. Secure Choice is also available to individuals who choose to sign up separately from an employer.

Wave 1: The enrollment deadline for employers with 25+ employees has already passed.
Wave 2: The enrollment deadline for employers with 16-24 employees is November 1, 2022.
Wave 3: The enrollment deadline for employers with 5-15 employees is November 1, 2023.

Employers who do not comply with the Illinois Secure Choice Savings Program Act will be subject to fines and penalties as described in 820 ILCS 80/85. Enforcement for non-compliant employers with 25 or more employees will begin in 2022.

The Patrick Mizwicki Strive for 5 Foundation will host its 11th Annual 5K Walk/Run on June 11.

The event will kick-off at Breidert Green in downtown Frankfort. Pre-Registration:

$20 (must register by May 22 to be guaranteed shirt on race day). Walk Up Registration:

$25 (shirt is not guaranteed on day of race but will be mailed at a later date). Check in 8:15-9am, race steps off at 9:15am. Register here

The Lincoln-Way High School Foundation's Summerfest will be at 6pm, Friday, July 15 at CD&ME. The Muzak Department, Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band and one more band to perform. Food from Gatto's Italian Restaurant, desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes, raffle prizes, games and more! Rain or shine, 21 and older event. Tickets are $30 each/$35 at the door. Movies On The Green - The Secret Life of Pets 2 (PG): Wednesday, June 8 at Dusk, approx. 8:15pm at Breidert Green, White & Kansas Street. FREE! The Movies on the Green are back on Wednesdays! Unplug At The Parties In The Park - Schools Out for Summer!: Monday, June 13 at 6:00 - 7:30 pm at Brookmeadow Park, Elise Blvd. & Mary Dr. * FREE Family Fun! Join the Frankfort Park District each month this summer as you unplug from electronics and have outdoor fun at the Parties in the Park. 22^nd Annual Short Run on a Long Day 5k Run/Walk: Wednesday, June 22 at 7pm at Main Park. Registration Fee:

$22 Pre-Registration (by 5pm 6/15) * $30 (after 6/15-Race Day)

Race Packet Pick-up will be at the Founders Community Center on Tuesday, June 21 from 10am-6pm, and Wednesday, June 22 from 9am-2pm and 5:30 - 7pm at Main Park.

Frankfort Country Market, Sundays t hrough Oct. 30 (no market on July 10 or September 4), 9 am-1pm,1 N White Street and Breidert Green Parking Lots. Throughout the season, the market welcomes nearly 50 vendors selling produce, cut flowers, plants, honey, meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, baked goods, canned goods, hot foods and more. Enjoy live entertainment each week from 10 AM to 1 PM.

A marine biologist vividly brings alive the extraordinary ecosystem of the deep ocean--a realm about which we know less than we do about the Moon...Teeming with unsuspected life, an extraordinary interconnected ecosystem deep below the waves has a huge effect on our daily lives, influencing climate and weather systems, with the potential for much more--good or bad depending on how it is exploited. Hip Hop Yoga on Thu. Jun. 16 at 7pm. Join librarian & certified yoga teacher, Jill Ganeshan, for a dynamic, creative, and fun hatha yoga practice paired with mostly old-school, hip-hop beats. It will be you, your breath, your body, and your awareness experiencing movement and shapes. You’ll come away from the practice feeling both energized and relaxed. Please bring a yoga mat or a large towel.
