Business Feature of the Week:

Wild Wood's, A Gathering Place

Sponsored by Kara Gora of Salon Kasara and John Yelkich, State Farm Insurance

If you would like your business featured, please contact salonkasara@gmail.com

Nestled in the heart of Hobart, Wild Wood’s, A Gathering Place is more than just an event venue — it’s a space rich in history, charm, and community spirit.

A Name Rooted in History

The venue is housed in a century-old building originally constructed in 1910 by Alwin Wild. When owners Toni and John Chitwood first stepped inside, they instantly fell in love with Mr. Wild’s craftsmanship. From the stunning 100-year-old maple hardwood floors to the preserved architectural details true to the era, the building itself tells a story.

To honor that history, they combined Mr. Wild’s last name with their own last name to create the name Wild Wood’s — a tribute to the past while building meaningful moments for today.

Five Years of Celebrations

For the past five years, Toni and John Chitwood have proudly served the Hobart community as a full-service venue for life’s most special occasions.

Wild Wood’s specializes in:

︎Weddings

︎Bridal showers

︎Baby showers

They also host birthday parties, graduation celebrations, retirement parties, corporate events, and more — offering a versatile and welcoming space for gatherings of all kinds.

More Than a Venue

Wild Wood’s isn’t just a place to rent — it’s a complete experience. They offer food, beverage, and décor options to create a seamless, stress-free planning process for their guests. Their goal is simple: allow guests to focus on making memories while they handle the details.

Throughout the year, they also host public pop-up events, many held in their beautiful outdoor courtyard. These events often feature live music, curated menus, and opportunities for the community to gather and connect in a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.

A True Gathering Place

Toni and John love being part of the Hobart community and take pride in providing a space where people come together to celebrate milestones, achievements, and life’s meaningful moments.
