Governor's Luncheon Another Success!
It's always good when Governor Snyder comes to Macomb, the weather is great and MacRay's Banquet Center does their usual fine job of serving up a delicious meal in a most timely manner. For the fourth year, the Chamber Alliance of Macomb, of which our Chamber is a member, hosted the luncheon, and Gov. Snyder was upbeat, most complimentary of Macomb and the many positives taking place here, and his keynote address was well-received by the hundreds of people in attendance.

Our Filipo Marc BRAG group has a new home!
A few months ago our Oakmont BRAG group had to look for a new meeting place. The Filipo Marc Winery, located at 39085 Garfield Rd. in Clinton Township, was kind enough to host the group for the last couple of months while we made arrangements for a permanent meeting facility. The Chamber and group members would like to extend their thanks to Gerard Giacona and his Filipo Marc Winery, for hosting the group for these past months.
Matt Charnesky, General Manager of BD's Mongolian Grill, located at 13150 Hall Rd. in Sterling Heights has asked to be the host of a group and extended his staff's hospitality to the Filipo Marc Group. The former Oakmont, Filipo Marc BRAG group will hold their first meeting at BD's at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 4.
Since 1992, BD's Mongolian Grill "has been delivering unique, interactive dining experiences that set us apart from the competition, and is the world's number one, create-your- own stir-fry restaurant concept. Focusing on Fun, Choice and Control we have created a growing band of loyal customers that believe passionately about their ability to take charge of their own dining experience. Their "You Rule the Experience" philosophy gives guests ownership in choosing their own ingredients from a great variety of choice meats and seafood, fresh vegetables, crisp salads, and flavor-packed sauces and spices. The food is then prepared by expert grillers on a 600-degree, 7-foot grill."
Thank you in advance to Matt and BD's for the use of your great facility, and we look forward to getting to know you as a BRAG host and want the experience to be mutually beneficial to your business and the Chamber. If you'd like to learn more about the BD group, please contact their Chair, Mark Clem, CNC Systems, Inc., (586) 776-6750, mark@cnc-systems.com, or Co-Chair Sherry Platte, Morris Insurance Group, (586) 569-0440, sherry.platte@morrisinsurancegroup.com.
If you'd like to learn more about our trademarked BRAG Networking program, please contact Bill Griffith, BRAG Administrator, at (586) 731-5400 ext. 15, bgriffith@shrcci.com.
