Digital Marketing Training

The  Business Resiliency Taskforce, including the City of Grande Prairie and County of Grande Prairie,  has partnered with  Community Futures   Grande Prairie & Region  and  nine10 Inc.  to offer pragmatic and in-depth digital marketing training to local businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19.

The purpose of the program is to equip local businesses with the skills and knowledge to grow their business utilizing the latest digital marketing tools. The areas of focus will be digital content strategy, branding & visual identity, web design tools and applications, social media, search engine marketing and websites & e-commerce.

Once complete, businesses will come out of the workshop with the knowledge to grow their social following, enhance their visual brand, run effective marketing campaigns, and setup a powerful website.

While the value of the program is estimated at $4,000 per business, thanks to the partnership and municipal funding, businesses will have access to the program for $250.

Due to the experiential and hands on format of the workshops, space is limited so businesses are encouraged to apply early. Applications for the program will be accepted until August 5 . Digital onboarding will begin at the end of August with in-person training beginning mid-September. COVID-19 risk mitigation and physical distancing measures will be acknowledged during in-person training with a contingency plan in place for a digital delivery model.

Job Searching During The Pandemic 4-Part Webinar Series

About this Event

Join me for the first of four, free rapid-fire 30 minute sessions. I'll share insights from my Amazon best-selling book, “Hired! How To Get The Zippy Gig. Insider Secrets From A Top Recruiter.”, followed by an interactive Q & A session. This session will focus on the tools to build a strong foundation for your resume. Resume length, categories, best layout, email blunders and other epic fails that send your resume straight to the recycle bin! Let's get you HIRED!

About Sheila:
Sheila Musgrove started TAG Recruitment in 2005 with an IKEA desk, bargain website, and a computer monitor as big as a fish tank. TAG has grown into a thriving multi-million- dollar organization with a strong reputation for finding stellar talent—all from an uber funky office, with a disco ball and a gong.
After coaching thousands of candidates on resume writing and interviewing preparation, with significant success, she wrote “Hired! How To Get The Zippy Gig. Insider Secrets From A Top Recruiter.” It hit the Amazon best-seller lists in both Canada & USA within the first 24 hours of being released. Four years later, “Hired!” is still consistently ranked in the top 20 resume books in Canada!

She has delivered a lively keynote based on “Hired!” to well over 5000 job seekers throughout Canada. “Hired!” has sold globally and has helped readers world-wide to land their new zippy gig. She was also the guest speaker at the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce 2019 Small Business Week Business Awards of Excellence.

Sheila has received numerous awards including Alberta Venture ranking of Alberta’s fastest growing companies – TAG has appeared 6 times on the list. Profit and Chatelaine rank Canada’s Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs – she’s appeared on the list 4 times. Sheila was recognized by Red Deer College as their 2015 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.

Her second book, “Unexpected Mentors. Weird & Creative Ideas To Boost Your Career.”, was published in April.

Sheila is regularly interviewed as a resume & interview expert on CTV Calgary, and has appeared on CTV Ottawa & Vancouver, Global Morning Calgary, Breakfast Television (Calgary & Vancouver), 660 & 770 radio & CBC’s Alberta at Noon. Canadian Living magazine profiled an article with her job search strategies.

She has trained career educators in 4 countries on the “Art of the Digging Interview” and the “Hired!” methodology.

About Canada United

The #CanadaUnited campaign is a nationwide small and local business campaign encouraging Canadians to buy local.

RBC, ‘Corporate Canada’, Business Associations and Major Media Partners have teamed up to start a movement, Canada UnitedTM, where everyday Canadians and large businesses come together in support of small and local businesses. The movement will start with a #CanadaUnited campaign where Canadians are asked to complete ‘micro-actions’ (likes, views, etc.) in support of small and local businesses on social media. In short, Canada United encourages action from everyday Canadians and Corporate Canada and kickstarts the recovery of local economies and small businesses.

Learn more at .

Canada United is offering small business relief grants of up to $5,000 to help small Canadian businesses with recovery efforts as a result of COVID-19. The grant funds will grow over the next several weeks as every video watched and social post liked from Canada United will result in a 5¢ contribution from RBC. Funds can be used for PPE, renovations, or e-commerce capabilities.
