COVID-19 RESOURCES

Certain at-risk Indiana residents are now eligible to get the coronavirus vaccine.
As inpatient volumes continue to climb, MMH encourages you to help slow the spread of COVID-19 over the holidays. Interim CEO, Liz Leising and ER Doctor, Frank Fiorito share insights on what MMH is currently experiencing and how to manage COVID-19 symptoms and limit your risk of exposure.
MMH Community Update:
Margaret Mary Health COVID-19 Update: 2.28.22
During the past month we experienced a steady decline in COVID-19 patient volumes, and on this last day in February, we are happy to report we survived the omicron variant surge. Unless a new variant emerges in our community or there is a significant change in volume trends, we don’t anticipate a need to provide future COVID-19 updates for the community.

Inpatient Care: We currently have 15 patients on our Med Surg floor. Two of our patients are Covid+ (both of which are vaccinated).  Our overall percentage of hospitalized COVID patients who are unvaccinated continues to trend around 85%.

Testing:  The percent of patients testing positive for COVID-19 declined significantly again, with 10.7% of patients (13 in total) testing positive. (See chart for testing details). Those who need to be tested for Covid-19 should contact their primary care provider or schedule an appointment at a local testing site through coronavirus.in.gov. If you have mild symptoms or had a known exposure to someone with COVID-19, self-testing at home with an over-the-counter test is also a good option for fast results.

Vaccination:  Vaccine appointments for everyone ages 5 and older can be scheduled Monday - Friday at the MMH Occupational Health and Wellness Center in Batesville at 812.932.5105.  Vaccine appointments can also be made Monday – Friday at the Margaret Mary Health Center in Brookville at 765.647.5126.

COVID-19 Vaccine Availability

Your family of pharmacies has received a limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine in select areas and our licensed health care professionals are partnering with federal and state agencies to administer the doses in accordance with each jurisdiction’s rollout plans.
This page will be regularly updated with information on vaccine availability and eligibility by state. Please check back often for new locations and updated eligibility criteria.
