Farm & Ranch to Table Dinner Showcases the Best of Oakdale's Local Bounty
An evening of food, fellowship, and support for the future of agriculture
The Oakdale Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Ag Committee hosted a truly unforgettable evening last month, with its annual Farm & Ranch to Table Dinner - a celebration of Oakdale’s agricultural roots and a shining example of community coming together to invest in the future.
The dinner featured live music, a spirited live auction and gun auction, and—most importantly—a mouthwatering meal crafted entirely from the products of local farms, ranches, and small businesses. From the first bite to the final toast, guests enjoyed a culinary journey that honored the hardworking producers who form the backbone of Oakdale’s economy and identity.
A True Taste of Oakdale
The carefully curated menu was a love letter to the region’s rich agricultural offerings. Guests began with charcuterie and appetizers featuring cheeses from Fiscalini Farmstead and Oakdale Cheese & Specialties, crisp produce from SONS Farm Fresh, Ratto Bros, and Rodin Farms.
The spring garden salad, bright with berries and dressed in a house-made vinaigrette, showcased the best greens from Ratto Bros and SONS Farm Fresh, topped with locally made cheese. Side dishes like roasted root vegetables, beets with strawberry glaze, and three cheese tortellini with spring vegetables were not only flavorful but deeply rooted in local partnerships—with produce from Rodin Farms, Tegner Mill, and more.
The star of the night was undoubtedly the picanha steak, sourced from Ardis Cattle Co and served with chimichurri, offering a bold, satisfying main course that perfectly complemented the evening’s rustic charm. Guests also enjoyed fresh salted rosemary focaccia from MatKat Sourdough and finished with a sweet selection of hand pies, cookies, and more from Bloomingcamp Ranch.
Investing in the Future
While the flavors were unforgettable, the heart of the evening lay in its mission: supporting agricultural scholarships for local youth. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and donors, the fundraiser raised an outstanding $19,568.65 for future Ag Scholarships (*This figure is slightly different from what was published in the Oakdale Leader, due to a calculation error). These funds will help passionate young people in our community pursue careers in farming, ranching, and agricultural sciences—ensuring that the next generation has the tools and encouragement to carry Oakdale’s legacy forward.
“Events like this aren’t just about good food,” said a Chamber representative. “They’re about sustaining our future, supporting our youth, and showing pride in where we come from. We consider that a TRIPLE WIN!”
Community Support
The event’s success wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of local sponsors and donors. Special thanks go to Oakdale Irrigation District (OID), Brichetto Cattle Co, and Bistro 120, as well as auction prize donors including American AgCredit, Ashley Ardis – Keller Williams, Black Oak Casino, Chicken Ranch Casino Resort, The Gypsy Cowgirl, Last Call Brewing Co, Oakdale Chamber, Oakdale Morning Market, and Reata on 3rd.
The Farm & Ranch to Table Dinner wasn’t just a meal—it was a movement. A show of unity. A reminder that in Oakdale, agriculture isn’t just a livelihood—it’s a legacy.
Please keep your eye out for information about next year’s event, as it will likely sell out early! We are looking forward to another TRIPLE-WIN evening!
