Host a :45 Fill Up!
Open your doors and let fellow Chamber members experience your business firsthand!
Hosting a :45 Fill Up is a great way to showcase your space, introduce your team, and help members discover the products, services, and expertise you have to offer. Sometimes the best way to make a connection is simply by inviting people in.
As the host, all you provide is coffee and pastries—we'll take care of the invitations, promotion, and bringing the crowd.
Interested in hosting an upcoming :45 Fill Up? Contact the Chamber to reserve your month!
| | | Cruise Night - Wednesday, July 8 from 4-8pm | | |
Join us for the second Cruise DL Night of the summer at City Park & North Shore Drive!
While construction continues on West Lake Drive, we're enjoying another great season in this temporary location with classic cars, a fun community atmosphere, beautiful park setting, and easy access to local restaurants and businesses.
We can't wait to see you there!

| | | Thank You for a Spectacular Fourth of July! | | |
What a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! We're grateful to everyone who helped make the fireworks another memorable celebration for our community and visitors.
The Chamber is proud to coordinate the event behind the scenes - from securing permits and managing the pyrotechnics contract to supporting our volunteer co-chairs in engaging businesses and the community in fundraising efforts. It truly takes a team.
A special thank you to our dedicated co-chairs Mark Fritz, Mike Hutchinson and Todd Simison, Todd and Lloyd Feldt for coordinating the fireworks display on event day, the City of Detroit Lakes, Detroit Lakes and Becker County law enforcement, and the many businesses, organizations, and individuals whose generosity makes this tradition possible. Your partnership helps create one of the highlights of summer in Detroit Lakes, and we're grateful for all you do!
| What a great way to kick off Independence Day weekend! | | | | The Chamber was proud to join the Historic Holmes Theatre, Project 412, and the Becker County Museum at Trucks & Tunes last Thursday for an evening filled with community spirit, great music, and family fun. | | | |
It was our pleasure to hand out American flags and popsicles while visiting with so many families, neighbors, and visitors. Events like this remind us that strong communities are built through the simple moments we share together.
Thank you to everyone who came out, our Chamber Ambassadors who helped hand out the flags and popsicles and to all of the partners and volunteers who helped make the evening such a success.

The exact project may shift based on needs and group size. No matter the task, it’ll be a hands-on opportunity to make an impact while enjoying some fresh air and treats to beat the heat!
| | | All tools and supplies will be provided – please wear your COMPASS T-shirt! | | Celebrating Independent Retailers Month | | |
July is Independent Retailer Month - a perfect time to celebrate the local businesses that help make Detroit Lakes a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
Supporting local businesses strengthens our community, and the Chamber is proud to invest in their success through Experience DL (XDL). This Chamber-sponsored initiative brings retailers, restaurants, attractions, and customer-facing businesses together to create fun promotions like Find Polar Pete, Water Carnival Button Days, DL Deer Weekend, and Shop. Drop. Win. that encourage residents and visitors to discover all our community has to offer.
When businesses work together, everyone benefits. If you're a customer-facing business looking to increase your visibility, collaborate with fellow businesses, and be part of community-wide promotions, we'd love to talk with you about joining Experience DL.
This month - and all year long—we encourage everyone to Think Local First. Together, we can continue building a thriving business community.
