Mentoring

Mentoring is one of those words that sounds good to most of us. Maybe we've been mentored or have mentored others. Or, maybe the thought of mentoring someone else scares us because we don't feel we have what it takes? Many of us have been mentored whether we have realized it or not. What would happen if we intentionally started mentoring even one other person? What impact would that have on our own lives, the lives of others, our jobs, our community, and beyond? Join us for our next Marshall Women's Connect group to dive into some of these thoughts. Annie Wing will be sharing about how mentoring has impacted her life. She uses real life stories, humor, and transparency to encourage and equip those who will listen. Annie is a wife, mother, former business owner, and pastor's wife. She has a passion for helping people to understand their God-given gifts and how to best use them to encourage others.

Mom's Expo Presenters

Marshall Community Services is looking for volunteer presenters for the 8 th Annual Moms' Expo!
If you would be interested in being a small group presenter at the Moms' Expo on the evening of Tuesday, April 7, 2020, please contact Danielle Wilts at
[email protected] or 507-537-6767.

The goal of the Moms' Expo is to help mothers enjoy parenting and everyday life more: by finding balance, having realistic expectations of themselves and their children, and living in the moment. We are looking for local presenters to share tips and insights on a specific topic (finances, meal planning, balancing life, discipline, organization, etc.) that has made parenting more manageable and enjoyable for them. Each presentation will last approximately 45 minutes.

The Moms' Expo is a great opportunity to bring mothers together, reinforce a sense of camaraderie and build each other up!

Career Expo

The 2019 Southwest Minnesota CareerForce Expo took place on September 24th & 25th at Southwest Minnesota State University.
By working together we were able to serve over 1,800 students from 32 high schools
in Southwest Minnesota
through interactive career exhibits, a fast-paced and informative
career game show, and small group campus tours. Businesses provided valuable exposure
about careers and education, which is what students will need as they begin making critical
decisions about their future. In addition to high school students, businesses also provided
a service to college students that have not declared a major, as well as adults.
Here are some other facts about the expo:
* 32 high schools
* Over 1800 students
* 135 exhibitors (LARGEST EVER!)
* 325 volunteers
* 87 campus tours
Please take a few moments to provide us with some feedback if your business
participated in the Career Expo here.

Check out our Facebook Photo Booth Page at: http://www.facebook.com/SWWCSC
Career Expo event webpage: www.swsc.org/careerexpo
We hope you will consider partnering with us next year!
