Speak up for Business! Be part of the 2022 Precinct Caucuses |

The Minnesota precinct caucuses will be held 7 P.M., Tuesday, February 1. They provide great opportunities to promote business issues to our political leaders! These neighborhood meetings are the building blocks of the political process and are wide open to all interested citizens.
If you attend the Republican or DFL caucus you will be able to
1. Vote in the straw poll for Governor
2. Propose and vote on planks for the party platform
3. Select delegates to represent your precinct at the upcoming legislative endorsing conventions
4. Run for delegate yourself! Our parties need the participation of business-minded people!
Here are the Republican caucus locations for Lyon County:
Marshall: Grace Life Church Gymnasium, 1601 E. College Dr.
Cities of Cottonwood, Lynd, Marshall (Wards 1, 2 and 3) and Russell, and those townships not listed below
Minneota High School Music Room, 504 N. Monroe St.
Cities of Ghent, Minneota and Taunton and townships of Eidsvold, Grandview, Island Lake, Nordland, Vallers and Westerheim
Tracy Area High School Media Center, 934 Pine St.

DFL DFL Precinct Caucuses will be held on Tuesday, Feb 1, 7:00pm (registration begins at 6:30pm). There are two caucus locations in Lyon County, one in Tracy (at Twin Circles Apartments) and one in Marshall (at the Adult Community Center). The Southwest Minnesota State University Cheer team would like to invite individuals in Kindergarten through 6th grade for our annual Kids Cheer Clinic Saturday, February 5th from 9 am to 12 pm!
Entry Fee: $25
What is included: Participants will receive a complimentary T-Shirt, free admission to the game, and the opportunity to perform at halftime of the women’s home game against Concordia - St. Paul Saturday, February 5th starting at 3:30.
The Clinic will be held in SS 145. Park in the gravel lot on the North end of campus near the baseball fields.
Registration must be submitted by January 24th. Please mail in the form to register. Checks can be made out to SMSU Cheer.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines and Policies |

Newsletter Goals and Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our members' events with other business and community members. It is an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,800 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.
Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on requests from the member business. The following criteria are
requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
- Events flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We do not include sales or promotions.
- Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge, and you have the option
- of adding one additional week for $20.

Submissions must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection to be included email chamber@marshallmn.org
- All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
