The draft of the Missouri Department of Transportation's  2020-2024 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP)  is now available for  public comment and review through July 5, 2019 . The document lists transportation projects planned by state and regional planning agencies for fiscal years 2020 through 2024 (July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2024). 

It is important that MoDOT hears from us by July 5. I encourage you to  click here  and take a few minutes to comment and express your support for funding the following St. Charles County projects:
  • Bridge rehabilitation on Blanchette Bridge and striping on Rte. 364 from Jungs Station Road to the Missouri River - $46.6 million
  • Corridor improvements from Harry S. Truman Boulevard and Cave Springs Boulevard to Fairgrounds Road - $35.7 million
  • Bridge rehabilitation and guardrail upgrades at the I-70 and Rte. 370 interchange - $3 million
  • Eliminating at-grade signal, add through lanes and construct new interchange at Rte. 94/364 and Muegge Road. $4,975,000 Cost Share and $10,658,540 City of St. Charles funds. - $16.5 Million

The items listed above are the major projects that impact the St. Charles / St. Peters area. There is also a number of pavement repairs, resurfacing, and bridge rehab project throughout St. Charles County.
U.S. Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta Visits St. Louis Region
Announces $12 Million Grant for Apprenticeship Program
US Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta visited St. Louis Community College to discuss a $12 million grant Missouri received supporting apprenticeship programs in advanced manufacturing. Several business leaders, workforce development and community college representatives from around the region joined in a roundtable discussion on the need and impact this grant will have. 5,000 individuals across Missouri will benefit from this investment. Many of these jobs will pay between $50,000-$60,000 and more. Read more here.
