The Park Ridge Garden Club will host their next general meeting on
Thursday, February 8 @7pm
In the Centennial Activity Center 100 S. Western in Park Ridge.
With Spring around the corner, that means it’s time to get ready for another season of gardening. Mark Lyons, a.k.a. “the Garden Troubadour” is a master gardener, consultant and educator and will be discussing tools and techniques for getting your garden ready for spring planting.
Mr. Lyons runs a successful business, Green Thumb at Your Service, based in Palatine, dedicated to inspiring and coaching people on growing their own food. His program will begin after the business portion of the meeting which is
open to all interested gardeners.
The Park Ridge Garden Club was established 94 years ago and boasts over 100 members. Many members actively participate in various projects within the community and maintain several garden beds.
The annual Plant sale in May and Garden Walk in June are our two fundraisers the community always looks forward to.

Required Poster: Employee Rights Under the Fair Labor Standards Act
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has released a new "Employee Rights Under the Fair Labor Standards Act" (FLSA) poster to reflect the recent changes made under the “Providing Urgent Maternal Protections for Nursing Mothers (PUMP) Act.” This law expands the rights of nursing employees to take breaks and have a private place to express breast milk during the workday.
All employers MUST replace older versions of the “Employee Rights Under the Fair Labor Standards Act" poster with this new version.
