Chamber Managers Tip of the Month
New Years Resolution:
Revisit Your Business Plan
If your business plan has been collecting dust on a shelf somewhere for a few years, now's the time to pull it out, dust it off, and renew it. Review it to make sure it's still lined up with your vision for your company and that the targets and budgets you set for yourself are realistic and achievable. It is very beneficial to lay out what you want for your business in the coming 12 months, to aggressively pursue those goals over the year, then start the process over early in 2018. Be specific, so you can actually measure results and see whether you accomplished them by year's end. Change what needs changing. And if you never had a business plan, check out Community Futures Small Business Toolkit to help develop one.

In an effort to bring a larger spotlight, and more support, to the Ladysmith business community, and to bring more emphasis on shopping and supporting local businesses and initiatives, the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce will be retooling and rebranding the Spring Home & Business Show. Starting in 2017 the event will now be known as the Ladysmith Business and Volunteer Expo and will be held annually during Small Business Month in early October. The concept for the new event is that it will feature a trade show to showcase local business, product demonstrations including holiday shopping ideas & opportunities, business development workshops, a volunteer fair, family entertainment and more.
