RECAP: How Small Businesses Can
Navigate Economic Uncertainty

Amid an uncertain economy, the proliferation of organized retail crime, and an ongoing workforce shortage, small businesses in the U.S. are facing a multitude of challenges impacting their operations.

Did you know: The most recent MetLife U.S. Chamber Small Business Index found that 70% of small businesses have raised their prices due to inflation, while 40% have taken out loans to bridge the cash flow gap.

In case you missed it: Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President, Chief Policy Officer, and Head of Strategic Advocacy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, discussed the current state of small business, as well as how entrepreneurs can best position their companies to thrive. Watch now.
Transgender & Non-Binary
Affirming Employer Toolkit
Courtesy of the GSBA

GSBA is proud to have partnered with the Transgender Economic Empowerment Coalition (TEEC), a group of local nonprofit organizations who teamed together to increase economic opportunity and access for the trans community in King County, to create the Transgender & Non-Binary Affirming Employer Toolkit. This document provides employers and business leaders with training, policies, recommendations, and tips to create a workplace environment that is empowering and supportive of the needs of trans employees and clients.

While this handbook was created for King County, as allies and partners of the GSBA, the Greater Kitsap Chamber hopes that this information will be found useful for all businesses in our region.

Nonprofit IT Security: 5 Inexpensive Ways
to Secure Your Organization
Courtesy of NonProfit Pro

If you're not concerned about data security as a nonprofit, you should be. Hackers tend not to deliberately target nonprofits the way they do manufacturers and financial institutions, for example.
