Below is a picture that speaks to criminals volumes. It sends a message even before they try to interrupt your day with some crazy theft attempt.

Now that  Lightcatch  is available on  Android  and  iPhones  here in Grande Prairie Alberta people in the City are telling bad actors ‘watch out’ in a language anyone can understand.  We have launched, very quietly, our service in the Grande Prairie area.

Besides our closed Facebook group you are the first to know our service is now live. We haven’t told the press, our board of advisors or even our shareholders before sending this email.

So Surprise😊! The service is launched and it is way more deadly in helping the police than the manned Facebook group. Even better, we’re already warning EVERY thief around GP there could be 5, 10, or 20 people watching you the minute your face is posted doing a crime. Tough day to be a thief, good day for people who don’t want criminals to come near their stuff.

Download the app if your in Grande Prairie  Android  or  iPhone . If you live outside the area we're coming your way soon....
Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce Partnership with County of Grande Prairie Business Support Network (BSN)

As the Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce, we are pleased to support this initiative to help address workforce challenges in the region. It was discovered through a business visitation study done by the County that connection around this common challenge is needed. While it has been started by the County of Grande Prairie, all businesses in the area are invited to take part in the Roundtable Luncheons and Speaker events.

Economic Development Strategic Planning Workshop Invitation

Dear Chamber Members,

The City of Grande Prairie has initiated a strategic planning process to develop a Long-Term Economic Development Strategic Plan. The plan will help to inform City decision making and provide direction to staff in terms of future economic development initiatives that will support the City’s economic base.

The City recognizes community engagement as an important aspect to the success of this plan. MDB Insight, an economic development research firm, will be hosting a series of focus groups on May 14 th and 15 th with each session focused on different industry sectors. We are looking for business representatives and stakeholders in each sector to participate in a topic discussion regarding your industry’s role in economic development in the City of Grande Prairie.

The two hour sessions will be geared towards members of the business community directly engaged with each of the industries below, who can help us better understand these sectors and the challenges and opportunities that they face. This includes business owners, professionals in the space, support associations and organizations and managers of key facilities. We would also like to engage individuals working at different segments of the major local supply chains including primary producers and secondary processors
