Request for Proposals
GPRIN is the Innovation Network serving northwestern Alberta innovators and entrepreneurs with the resources, knowledge, and connections to develop, validate, manufacture, market and launch innovations into the marketplace. The innovation ecosystem in Alberta is expansive and GPRIN has access to resources and expertise in a wide variety of areas, in Alberta and across Canada.
GPRIN aims to help diversify the regional economy by cultivating the innovation process, the creation of new ideas and new technologies, products, and business ventures. The GPRIN team and its stakeholders help innovators, entrepreneurs, and companies move their ideas forward by offering access to a variety of services and professionals throughout the Alberta innovation ecosystem. The GPRIN is unique in its make up and funding model and is well placed way to draw from and contribute too, the economic development, business development and innovation realms.
GPRIN is seeking the services of a Contract Company or Employee to assist with completing numerous items listed as part of the 2021-2022 GPRN Workplan.
Workplan Items include:
- Event Planning (up to 2)
- Setting up round table discussions (up to 4)
- Arranging training – both in-person and virtual (up to 6)
- Accelerator activities and partnership development (up to 4)
- Makerspace development (up to 2)
- Partnership development with post-secondary, underrepresented groups, municipalities, stakeholders, etc.
- Project reporting (monthly)
The term of this contract will begin October 15th, 2021 and end March 31, 2022.
Proposed budget for this contract is up to $10,000.
Respondents shall provide the following to GPRIN the following by 4:30pm, October 8, 2021:
- Background and Expertise (with specific information on experience with serving diverse communities, and project development in & for diverse communities).
- Networking, training, and stakeholder connections
- Three Professional References
GPRIN is also seeking the services of a Marketing Firm to improve the overall GPRIN brand awareness, create a Marketing Strategy, Social Media marketing and initiatives, and invigorating a regional presence for the RIN.
Contract Deliverables may include:
- Working with GPRIN partners and stakeholders to Create a GPRIN Marketing Strategy
- Lead GPRIN re-naming/rebranding activities
- Develop and execute social media engagement strategy
The term of this contract will begin October 15, 2021 and end March 31, 2022, with potential continuation, based on funding, to March 31, 2023.
Proposed budget for this contract is up to $10,000.
Respondents shall provide the following to GPRIN the following by 4:30pm, October 8, 2021:
- Background and Expertise (with information around work with and development of marketing materials for diverse communities).
- Networking, training, and stakeholder connections
- In house expertise
- Proposed timeline
- Three Professional References

Helping our Neighbours still looks Different This Year… and we need YOUR help!
We have extended the annual campaign this year as we were unable to do our historical door-to-door canvassing and are connecting online.

We need your help to engage friends, neighbours and co-workers. Together we can make our annual Food Bank Drive a success!

Did you know that last year we saw an increase of 63% in the number of food hampers given out in our community? Of the 6,588 total individuals served, 44% were children.
