Bluegrass legends Skaggs, Crowe
highlight 2019 SamJam lineup
Ricky Skaggs and J.D. Crowe, two iconic figures in bluegrass music, lead the lineup for the 2019 SamJam Bluegrass Festival at the Pike County Fairgrounds in Piketon.
The festival, scheduled for Aug. 28-Sept. 1, was recently recognized by the International Bluegrass Music Association with a Momentum Award for Best New Festival/Event/Venue. Co-Organizers Sam Karr and Rick Greene say the event is growing and new additions are on the way, but the trademark of the festival is bringing the best acts to Piketon.
