Public Policy
For many years, your Chamber has promoted a more equitable funding formula to prioritize transportation projects in North Carolina.  During the 2013 Session of the NC General Assembly, a new funding process for transportation projects was passed as HB817 Strategic Transportation Investments (STI).  A Strategic Mobility Formula was included that will help prioritize projects based on statewide, regional and highway division levels.

As NCDOT begins consideration of projects under the new formula, we have an opportunity to give input about our priorities by attending a public meeting.  Please make plans to attend on the date and at the location below for Division 10:

NCDOT Division 10 Public Input Session

Thursday, January 30, 4 - 7 p.m.

Metrolina Regional Transportation Management Center

2327 Tipton Dr., Charlotte, NC 28213

If there is an interest in carpooling from the Chamber, send an email to dcarter@cabarrus.biz and we will organize a traveling Cabarrus contingent.
