Greetings!
School is in session, and so is Leadership Oconto County for 2022-2023. We wish all of the participants the best as they grow their leadership skills to serve the community.
Help us to welcome one of our newest Chamber members by attending a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Health Markets. The ceremony starts at 7:30am Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 420 N. Chestnut Avenue, Suite A, Oconto Falls. Congratulations to Tabitha Dobbratz and Sheila Sawyer.
Our next Oconto Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Membership Meeting is 12pm Thursday, Sept. 15. Oconto Falls Ambulance is the sponsor, and we will meet at the ambulance garage, 831 South Main Street, Oconto Falls, behind HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital. All registered members are encouraged to attend. I look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting.

Volunteer for Run for the Trails
|
Run for the Trails begins at 8am Saturday, Sept. 24, at ST Paper Stadium, 210 N Farm Road, Oconto Falls. Events include a timed 1/2 Marathon run, 10K run & 5K run or walk through Oconto Falls.
Proceeds from this event go to create & maintain a recreational trail system throughout the Oconto Falls area. Please consider volunteering! We are especially looking for adults 18 and up to direct runners during the race.

Thanks for a Great Concert Series
It's hard to believe! The Music by the River Series at the Oconto Falls' East Side Beach has ended for the year. We had a great time! Thanks to everyone who volunteered, attended, and sponsored the concerts. What a fantastic summer event that the whole community could enjoy.

Help Leadership Oconto County Create Leaders for Tomorrow

Leadership Oconto County is a 501c3 that creates leaders today for tomorrow. The organization is looking for sponsors for its 10-month program which begins in August. The program includes rigorous leadership training, a beneficial community project, and a visit to all corners of the county.

Oconto Falls residents will vote on a referendum Nov. 8 regarding the construction of new middle school across the road from the high school on property that is already owned by the school district. An approved referendum would also address roofing issues and secure entrances.

Oconto Electric Cooperative's Bag Lunch to Go is Wednesday, Sept. 14. OEC will deliver or you can drive through to pick up your lunch of hot pulled pork, chips, sugar cookie and drink for $8. Proceeds benefit OEC Employee Charities. Email orders by noon Sept. 13.

Oconto Elks Fly In
Oconto County's high-flying heritage will be on display during the Oconto Elks Fly-In from 9am-4pm Saturday, Sept. 17, at Oconto J. Douglas Bake Municipal Airport. Enjoy a car show, helicopter rides, planes on display.

Oconto Harvest Fest
· A variety of crafters, seasonal produce, food and beverage, kids activities, music and much more will fill the downtown in Oconto. The Oconto Chamber of Commerce Harvest Fest is 10am-3pm Saturday, Sept. 24.

Homecoming in the Falls
Homecoming begins with a parade at 2pm, followed by a rally at ST Paper Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 18. Other events are a Thursday volleyball game, Friday football game, and Saturday dance.

White Christmas Tickets
Abrams Spotlight Productions Inc. will start selling tickets Oct. 1 for “White Christmas,” to be presented Dec. 1-4 and 8-11. Come experience a beloved Christmas classic at the local community theater

We are proud of our accomplishments to make the Oconto Falls area the best place to work, play, shop, live, and learn!
Here's what the Chamber has been up to:
- Developing a trail system with new and renovated paths
- Hosting the annual Run for the Trails event
- Supporting the pickleball court resurfacing project and dog park construction
- Offering a free concert series, “Music by the River”
- Partnering with local organizations for the community health and safety expo
- Sponsoring the city’s welcome signs, American flag project, Highway 22 project, Leadership Oconto County
- Getting signage for ATV/UTV/Fat Tire Bike trails, points of interest
- Painting the smokestack at ST Paper
- Adding new bike racks to public locations
