Our next Oconto Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Membership Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 21, at 12 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (501 S. Main St., Oconto Falls). Rockin' on the Beach
What a fantastic start to the Music by the River Series at the East Side Oconto Falls Beach. We had a great turn-out for June 24! We need volunteers to work the July 22 event, featuring music by the Bad Mother Truckers. Join us for this festive community event.

Help Leadership Oconto County Create Leaders for Tomorrow

Leadership Oconto County is a 501c3 that creates leaders today for tomorrow. The organization is looking for sponsors for its 10-month program which begins in August. The program includes rigorous leadership training, a beneficial community project, and a visit to all corners of the county.

New Beginnings Ribbon Cutting
|
New Beginnings and New Heights Training Center held a Ribbon Cutting in June.
Attending the ribbon cutting were Gail Yatso, Oconto Falls Area Chamber of Commerce President, Danielle Kline, Chamber Vice President, Scott Shackelford, Director of Oconto County Health and Human Services, Will Kline, Director of New View Industries, Debbie Arndt, Chamber Treasurer, and Katie Daul, Chamber Secretary.
The new 6,000 sq. ft. building, located at 228 W. Park St. in Gillett houses the New Beginnings Store as well as program space aimed at assisting disabled youth and adults at New Heights.

Tuesday Farmers Market
The Oconto County Farmers Market is open Tuesdays from 4-8 at Highland Square, in front of Quicklube and next to Family Dollar. Stop at the Chamber booth and say Hi.

Oconto County Fair
Ride the rides, visit the animals, enjoy the grandstand shows, and much, much more at the Oconto County Fair, Aug. 18-21 at Zippel Park, Gillett.

Thunder on Main
Meet your favorite drivers and race teams from the Dirt City Duel.
Racers and teams will line the streets of downtown Lena from 6-8pm Friday, July 29.
Food & drink specials will be available at local businesses.

Register for Run for the Trails
Registration is open for Run for the Trails, Saturday, Sept. 24, in Oconto Falls.
Race events include a 5K, 10K and half-marathon. Proceeds are used to create and maintain recreational trails in the area. Watch for sponsor letters coming soon.

Shop at Falls Rummage Sales
|
The City Wide Rummage Sales will take place Aug. 11 to Aug. 13. To add your rummage sale to the map, call the Oconto Falls Library, 920-846-2673, send an email, stop at the library, or fill out a form at the library's website. Deadline in Aug. 1, and printed handouts will be available after 3pm Aug. 8.
The library will hold a book sale during the event, so stop by and pick up some reading material.

Bettering the Community
We are proud of our accomplishments to make the Oconto Falls area the best place to work, play, shop, live, and learn!
Here's what the Chamber has been up to:
- Developing a trail system with new and renovated paths
- Hosting the annual Run for the Trails event
- Supporting the pickleball court resurfacing project and dog park construction
- Offering a free concert series, “Music by the River”
- Partnering with local organizations for the community health and safety expo
- Sponsoring the city’s welcome signs, American flag project, Highway 22 project, Leadership Oconto County
- Getting signage for ATV/UTV/Fat Tire Bike trails, points of interest
- Painting the smokestack at ST Paper
- Adding new bike racks to public locations
