The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that Governor Gretchen Whitmer recently awarded $850,000 towards improving the city of Manistee's Riverwalk as part of the EDA grant program. This is a huge win for our community, supporting improvements that create better access and enjoyment for all.

We want to thank all the partners who advocated for the Manistee Riverwalk improvements leading up to this success. For their involvement in the EDA grant preparations, we would like to especially thank Bill Gambill, Jeff Mikula, Shawn Middleton, Anne Bentley, and Marc Miller with the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, we sincerely appreciate all the businesses and organizations that wrote letters of support or were involved in match discussions, including West Shore Community College, Manistee Downtown Development Authority, Little River Holdings, Fricano's Manistee River, Bluefish Kitchen + Bar, and Networks Northwest.

The Manistee Riverwalk is an important asset, making our area a community of choice, offering recreation, beauty, and a unique northern Michigan experience.
