Top 5 Ways to Support a Nonprofit
COVID19 has had an impact on all of us this last year and a half, including a long-lasting impact on our community and nation. Now more than ever, it’s important to spread hope, and one way to do that is by investing in those on the frontlines. Whether it is Vine Maple Place helping single parents facing homelessness, MultiCare or Valley Medical – UW Medicine caring for those who are sick, or The Storehouse or Maple Valley Food Bank feeding those who might not be able to afford food or necessities, nonprofits in our community are working tirelessly to aid those in need. Here are five ways you can support them.
Save the Date: Wed., Aug. 18
Joint Luncheon with Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber
Save the date for our first in-person luncheon on Wednesday, August 18, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. We'll co-host with the Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber which is always a good time and a great opportunity to network with other businesses.

This year's event will be hosted by Rein Fire Ranch in Ravensdale, and we'll do our own version of the Olympics -- so bring your skills and your game face for a one-of-a-kind, don't-miss luncheon!

Valley Medical Center
Community Sponsors Needed for Fundraiser
This September Valley Medical Center is hosting a brand new fundraising event, a virtual golf tournament, Golf FORE Health – Benefitting Valley’s Greatest Needs Fund. We are excited to offer a safe, socially distanced opportunity for our South King County community to show their support!
Valley’s Greatest Needs Fund provides vital resources, including patient assistance (nearly $25M annually to help those in need) and critical projects not covered by other funding sources.
The virtual tournament allows golfers to play at one of 6 participating courses between September 1-18, scoring their rounds on common app. Scores feed into a shared leaderboard and the event will culminate with a Virtual Happy Hour on Saturday, September 18th at 4:30pm to celebrate our golfers. Player registration will open soon!

Support from businesses within our South King County public hospital district is crucial for a successful event – we need your help! Sponsorships offer an array of publicity options to profile your business and are tax deductible. For more information and to secure your support, please contact Carrie Murayama, Development Officer, 425.690.5956 or carrie_murayama@valleymed.org!
