COBI MOVING FORWARD WITH SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS
At tonight's meeting the City Council will hear recommendations regarding a proposed $200k economic recovery program based on existing programs in Bremerton, Poulsbo and Port Orchard.


PPP PROGRAM EXPANDED
President Biden announced new changes to the PPP program to give very small businesses including sole proprietors, contractors and the self-employed the ability to secure forgivable Payroll Protection Loans.

INSLEE ALLOCATES $240M FOR MORE BUSINESS GRANTS
Gov. Jay Inslee signed House Bill 1368, which taps federal funding to create an additional $240 million for WA business assistance grants and $50 million for worker's childcare.

KITSAP COVID UPDATE
Disease rates continue to drop in Kitsap County. Our cases-per-100K over the past 14 days is 82.3, the lowest since Nov. 1.

COUNTY CHAMBERS INTRODUCE KITSAP LEGISLATIVE PULSE
Chamber members across Kitsap County are invited to join a monthly zoom call spotlighting legislative business updates from Olympia.

The series begins this Thursday, February 25th at 3:00 pm with speakers from the Association of Washington Businesses (AWB).

Updated CARES rules now allow our local Nonprofits to receive free Non-Contact Thermometers (though Sole-Proprietorships are still excluded).

We have a very limited supply available on a first-come, first-served basis. Email us to reserve one, with preference given to Nonprofits. You will need to provide us with your valid UBI to receive one.

ALL island businesses and organizations are still eligible for free disposable masks for your staff and customers thanks to funds from the City and private citizen groups.

Bainbridge Certified Public Accountant Karla Smith is the keynote presenter of Accelerate Kitsap's upcoming Launch & Learn Zoom event at Noon on Thursday Feb 25. The presentation is free, and the topic is: "Automating Your Books Using Online Accounting Tools."

Just like last year, the 2021 Online Auction will be a no-contact event.
Donors keep items at home, buyers collect purchases from donors (or an agreed-upon location) post-sale. The 2021 schedule is:
