What a night! Last Monday's Patriots, Pirates, and Princesses Hometown Market was an absolutely smashing success!

We saw record crowds enjoying the evening, mingling among a record number of vendor booths that filled the park with amazing offerings. A huge highlight was the incredible performance by the 23rd Army Band, who truly set an amazing atmosphere.

A massive thank you to everyone who participated, from our fantastic vendors to our wonderful attendees, for making it such a memorable night! See you next week for some Polynesian Fun!!

Southern Utah and Utah Tech Joining Big Sky Conference in 2026

Southern Utah University and Utah Tech University will officially join the Big Sky Conference on July 1, 2026, with athletic competition beginning in the 2026–27 season.

Southern Utah returns to the Big Sky after leaving in 2022, while Utah Tech, a former Division II program, makes its second conference move since joining Division I in 2020.

The move brings Utah's total Big Sky membership to three schools—the most of any state in the conference—and helps fill the gap left by Sacramento State’s departure. Big Sky officials cited geography and long-term stability as key reasons for the expansion.

Business Loans for Utah Entrepreneurs with Disabilities

The Utah Assistive Technology Program (UATP), in partnership with the Utah Microloan Fund (UMLF), offers a small business loan program for Utah residents with disabilities. This initiative supports entrepreneurs by funding essential tools, equipment, office or vehicle modifications, and assistive technologies.

Loans are available up to $50,000 with terms up to five years. The interest rate is Prime + 2%, but the Utah Assistive Technology Foundation (UATF) covers the 2% to reduce costs. This program provides an accessible, affordable path for launching or growing a business.
