The B.C. government is providing funding for the Tsimshian Roundtable, a unique partnership of the six Tsimshian First Nations and LNG proponents in northwest B.C., to develop solutions to historic employment barriers for First Nations.

BC Chamber Calls for a Solution to Tax Rates that Penalize Growth
The BC Chamber is
calling for
solutions to a tax system that penalizes B.C. businesses with a giant tax hike when they hit a certain size.
"The current system penalizes growth," BC Chamber president and CEO Jon Garson told the
Vancouver Sun.
Garson noted that it is worrisome that 98% of B.C.'s businesses are still small businesses.
"Small businesses are great because entrepreneurism should always be encouraged," he said. "But the number of them should be much smaller. It means too many have not grown the way they should."
