Few Tickets Remain for Wine Walk in Barrington Saturday
The Barrington Fall Wine Walk this Saturday, Oct. 8 from 2:00-6:00 pm is almost sold out! Don't miss the chance to sample fine wines from local suppliers while exploring distinctive shops and restaurants. Attendees receive a souvenir wine glass, Wine Walk tour map, sample tracking sheet and access to over 20 merchant wine stops in the Village.
Tickets are $30. Must be 21 or older and show proper ID. Check-in starts at Neoteca, 130 S. Hough St. at 2:00 pm.

Reserve Your Seat for the Legislative Breakfast Oct. 11
Sign up today for the Barrington Area Legislative Breakfast on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Barrington's White House. Hear first-hand updates from local and state officials on issues affecting our communities. Confirmed speakers include: Senate Minority Leader Dan McConchie (26th); State Representative Chris Bos (51st); Representative Martin McLaughlin (52nd); and State Representative Tom Morrison (54th).
Registration, networking, coffee and pastries at 8:30 am; Program will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Cost to attend is $10 per person.

Buy Tickets in Advance & Save for TasteFest on Oct. 19
Tickets are selling quickley for the Barrington Area TasteFest on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Wild Onion Brewery in Lake Barrington. Tickets are $40 in advance/$45 at the door (limited).
Enjoy complimentary sampling from more than 20 area restaurants, microbrewers, wineries and distillers. The evening also includes entertainer Jimmy Nick, and a chance to grab some fast-moving cash in the Barrington Bank & Trust Co. money machine.
The first 300 attendees will receive a collectible TasteFest glass at the door. Guests are invited to cast their votes for the Best Taste Awards.

Ladies and Gentlemen are invited to join the BACC Women's Biz Net for a lunch program and networking on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at Biltmore Country Club in North Barrington. Dr. Neelam Gandhi, MD, of For Her Health S.C., will discuss how hormones affect your body, your future and how those desired goals change with the phases of your life from contraception to hot flashes. Cost to attend is $35 per member/$40 per nonmember. Program sponsor is Nova Skin Facial Spa.

Many thanks to all who donated to the BACC Women's Biz Net Food Pantry Drive in August. With your generous support, WBN was able to present $700 in grocery gift cards to the Cuba Township Food Pantry, locat ed at 28000 W. Cuba Rd. in Barrington. Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital Offers Vaccinations and Booster Shots
COVID-19 vaccine appointments for anyone five years and older are now being accepted at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 W. Hwy. 22 in Barrington. Anyone 6 months old and up can get vaccinated. Booster shots are also available to anyone 5 years and older who received both doses of the Pfizer, Moderna vaccine five months ago, or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine two months ago. A second booster shot is available for people 50 and older and immunocompromised people 12 and older four months after their first booster shot.
