BUSSINESS TAX COMMITTEE: 2025 PROPERTY TAXES

This committee actively advocates on behalf of our membership regarding property taxes, ensuring that the business community’s voice is heard in municipal decision-making. This month, we formally presented our key requests to the Mayor and City Council, supported by data on historical tax trends and economic impacts across different tax classes. You can read the letter here, the data can be found in the resources section of the member portal.

SHORT TERM RENTALS: HAVE YOUR SAY

The City of Revelstoke is reviewing its short-term rental regulations and is seeking community input. This year-long project will assess current rules, consider new provincial legislation, and explore regulatory changes. A public survey is open until March 31, 2025, to gather initial feedback. Future engagement opportunities, including stakeholder meetings and public consultations, will take place throughout the year.
