Labor Commissioner Speaks at Next Chamber Meeting & Lunch
Our special guest for the Aug. 20th Chamber Meeting & Lunch is Oklahoma Labor Commissioner Leslie Osborn.  RESERVATION FOR LUNCH  required.

Osborn owned and operated her own business--Osborn Pick-Up Accessories--for 22 years, selling heavy-duty truck parts. She was elected State Labor Commissioner in 2018. Prior to that she served 10 years in the OK House of Representatives for District 47. During her tenure, she authored landmark workers compensation reform and passed into law the first pay for success contract in Oklahoma, which was a public-private partnership to move women from incarceration to the Women in Recovery Program. Business Locator Maps Coming to Chamber Website
Just in time for fall’s visitors. We’ve created a set of 10 GPS-based maps with our members’ businesses and organiza-tions grouped according to helpful categories. By clicking on the maps, a prospective customer can get a general geo-graphical location, as well as the physical address and phone number. When combined with a good geographical app, the user can also get fine-tuned directions to the business.
Giving Our Best for Brickfest
Details are coming together with the City of Pauls Valley. The Chamber will once again head up the work with signing up and managing the numerous vendors for the Sept. 28 event. The event raises funds for other Chamber initiatives held throughout the year. Plans are to spread out the vendor area westerly along Paul Avenue from the Santa Fe Depot.

If interested in hosting a vendor space, please watch the BRICKFEST PAGE on our website.

Good Idea Corner
Build Customer Loyalty
It's a good idea to regularly ask yourself how your business is doing on customer loyalty. Are you a preferred supplier? What percentage of your customers are "repeat" customers who will walk through your doors or call on you at least once a month? How do you -- or can you -- reward frequent purchases? How well do you communicate your appreciation to your customers? By doing a SWOT assessment (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) periodically, you and your team could determine some exciting new ways of connecting with customers over the long haul. There's nothing better than being able to rely on loyal customers throughout the seasons of a business's life.
Advertise and Update Your Business Information in the next Chamber Guide
A very popular resource for the Pauls Valley, Garvin County and even South Central Oklahoma region, the Chamber Guide is a one-stop source for all kinds of great business, community and government information. It's a huge undertaking to produce the handy booklet each year, but it's a benefit of membership too. Make sure your business information is correct by providing the Chamber office with any changes. Plus if you'd like to advertise in the 2020 version, please CONTACT US .
