NEWS IN BRIEF
CHAMBER MEMBER JOINS STATE SENATE
Congratulations to Jessica Garvin, one of our Chamber members who won a state senate seat in November. Her district (43) includes the western portion of Garvin County. Garvin lives in Duncan with her husband, Stephen, and their three children. She is originally from Marlow and is an OU grad. The Republican was sworn into office recently.
DESPITE DELAY, IT'S ON ITS WAY
Distribution of the 2021 Community Guide & Business Directory has been delayed chiefly because of the pandemic. The printer’s staff was hit with the virus and this delayed the editorial, design and production work. The free booklet is expected to be distributed starting in mid-January and it’s hoped all hotels, public places and advertisers will have copies in their hands by Feb. 1.
PAY WITH CREDIT CARD NOW
Look for a new, more convenient way to pay membership dues. Emailed reminders now offer a way to click and pay with a standard credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or even Google Pay. The convenience was set up by the Chamber’s accountant, Grant & Katie Johnson CPA.
Online Seminars of Note
