Our president, Sherri Wing, has stepped down from the position she has held for seven years to pursue another opportunity. She announced the decision to the Executive Board on Monday, Sept. 21.
Sherri's last day is Oct. 3, and her last act will be her participation with a team to run the Pockets of Progress citywide clean-up in Pauls Valley. Impetus for the event grew out of a board training session in mid-2019. The event is now a double nominated entry in the annual Keep Oklahoma Beautiful award program. (See article below.)
The Executive Board expresses regret of Sherri's departure and appreciation for her diligent work to ensure the vitality of businesses and organizations in Pauls Valley.
“The Chamber Board members are saddened that we’ll be losing Sherri,” says Connie Upton, chair of the Board. “She has been a tireless leader who always kept Pauls Valley’s best interest as a priority in everything the Chamber does.”
The Board has begun the work to replace Sherri. The job description is available online.
