Valley Gifts & Awards is a subsidiary of Garvin County Community Living Center (GCCLC). At one time, it was known as Valley Trophy. Its primary business is still making trophies and awards for the surrounding area. Cyndi Mitchell, graphic designer for the store, fulfills lots of orders for trophies and plaques for the schools in our vicinity and as far away as Maine and California. Additionally, they are one of the few award businesses in the nation that can produce braille awards.

The Chamber of Commerce helped make many Christmas wishes come true through its leadership in Christmas in the Valley. For four separate nights in December, the Chamber worked with downtown stores to draw people into their places of business to participate in fun activities like a Gnome Scavenger Hunt and a Santa Poker Run. The Chamber coordinated events with the City of Pauls Valley starting with the Parade of Lights. The Chamber handed out stockings that people could take to local businesses to fill with Christmas candy. The Chamber also hosted the S’mores Station, the free hot chocolate donated by L&M Dairy and the Santa House loaned by Better Barns. It was truly a Christmas (in the Valley) to remember!

Winners:

  • Santa Stops Here -- Tickets to Polar Express won by the Brown family
  • Poker Run -- a gift basket won by Collette Mears
  • Gnome Scavenger Hunt -- a big-screen TV won by the Elizabeth Schmedeke family
