ADDRESSING THE LABOUR MARKET GAP: INSIGHTS REPORT NOW AVAILABLE
Thank you to our members for participating in the BC Chamber of Commerce's "Addressing the Labour Market Gap Survey", funded by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction. With input from 1,225 jobseekers and 812 employers, the comprehensive provincial survey provides valuable insights for bridging the gap between expectations and opportunities. BRIDGING THE WORKER SHORTAGE GAP
We're actively addressing the challenges faced by local employers in finding and retaining workers. From informative discussions on employment contracts to effective strategies for hiring foreign workers, we're taking action to bridge the gap. COLUMBIA BASIN TRUST: SMART GRANTS
The Columbia Basin Trust is currently running an intake of both Business and Non-Profit SMART Grants to support Basin Businesses, Non-profits and Indigenous communities to make operational and/or infrastructure upgrades that help them adapt to the impacts of climate change, and/or reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The intake closes for Expressions of Interest on June 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm PT / 3:00 pm MT. Business SMART Grants

FUNDING TO HELP SUPPORT EMPLOYEE TRAINING
Discover the B.C. Employer Training Grant Program. Get up to 80% funding for skills training, up to $10,000 per employee, and a maximum of $300,000 per employer annually.
